About Oasis Ministry in Belize
Oasis is a non-profit mission organization reaching out to the people of Belize in Central America. Ron and Linda Braaten formed Oasis Ministry to help teams from the US to come to Belize and partner with them to make a difference in this country. Ron and Linda have lived in Belize since January of 1999. Besides hosting teams, Linda oversees a preschool and is caring for an ever growing family as she and Ron find opportunities to help children from their village and surrounding areas. Their goal is to bring the light of Christ to the people they meet every day.
Linda has often been amused and delighted by the simple things that make her home so special in Belize. After sharing many of the stories with her children back in the states, she decided to share them with others who may be curious about life in another culture.
Many people think that a missionary’s life is either boring or high adventure. It is actually just “ordinary” in a different “ordinary” place. Come to Belize for a few moments and enjoy a little taste of this country and its people.
Linda, I am so excited that you have joined our blogging community! It’s been such a blessing for me as I’m working from home full time on the computer with Greg. Even though I don’t get out much, Heart Choices has become my ministry and …I love it! I hope you’ll join Facebook too so we can network our blogs.
